October

Hey everyone. Sorry it has been so long. October was a very crazy month. The first week we got all but 5 boxes unloaded and the house set up before we had Logan's birthday party on Oct 3. So that kept us crazy. Then we had some issues with the cable/internet and decided we didn't need the internet at the house for now. So blogs may not be quite so many as I can only post while at work. Luckily, I have a job that does not restrict internet usage. Then we had 2 weeks straight of Logan being sick. He had ear infections, bronchitus, multiple teeth coming in. Poor little guy was miserable. And being the nice mommy, I didn't take pictures of him not feeling well. We did have a nice Halloween. The daycare had a party the Tuesday of that week. And Logan got to dress up as a construction worker. He had overalls with equipment on it, a hanky in his back pocket, and a tool box to carry around. We didn't dress up for Halloween day, since we weren't taking him trick or treating. (He can't have the candy yet, and Justin and I are trying to be good). We did however had it out to the bigger kids. He had so much fun helping with that. We'll let him go out next year.
The house is just wonderful. I think it is finally starting to sink if for Justin and I that we actually have a house. We are loving it. Everything is getting set up and we are getting into a "normal" routine. Rusty is enjoying all of the extra room to play. He and Logan have the run of the living room and dining room right now (no table). But it is great for them to have the extra room to spread out and play.
October did find us with a very hard decision. Bailey got very sick, and we had to put her to sleep. Justin was with her that day, and I know it broke his heart. There was nothing we could do to fix this illness and to protect ourselves and her we went ahead and had it done. We miss her very much. Not a day goes by that we do not talk about her and what she would be doing. We know she is running in heaven and bringing joy to those she plays with. We miss our first baby, but we know deep down it was the right thing to do.
As for me.... I am now 26 weeks and feeling lots of kicking and movement. Nathan is a strong little guy who reminds me as much as he can that he is coming soon. We can't wait to meet this little guy. It's funny Logan will get on my lap and rub my belly. Then all of a sudden he'll "hit" it. A few seconds later Nathan will hit that same spot back. Oh the rivalry has already begun. Of course, right before bed Logan will get on my lab and cuddle with my belly. That is so sweet. I am sure he doesn't completely understand that Nathan is in my belly, but he knows it's getting bigger. We'll see how that does.
Justin is working hard. October found he will a lot of late nights and extremely busy days. Thankfully November brings a little relief for him. All sports are underway and will be done right after Thanksgiving. So he will have almost a month break from the craziness before school would come back in Jan. Which is nice for him to have that break after the extreme craziness.
A special congrats to my cousin Paul who got married on October 31. We are so excited for you. Wish we could have been there, but life always gets in the way. Mom said it was a beautiful day for you guys and that is all that matters. Wishing you a life filled with love and happiness.
Love to all our family and friends. To those far away we miss you and hope we get a chance to see you soon.
~Julie
