Justin's surgery
So this past summer we finally got Justin to a podiatrist because his feet were giving him problems and his right ankle was rolling all the time. The doctor found some damage and wanted Justin to have surgery. With his work schedule the best time for Justin was early November since his recovery time would be 6 weeks non-weight bearing. So on Nov 10 Justin had his surgery. For 2 weeks he had stitches and his ankle wrapped under this big boot so it could not get wet. That was a fun time period getting him cleaned. Luckily it never rained while we were out. :) The boys went to stay with Grammie and Papa for the first week so that I could concentrate on Justin. It was no fun without the boys, but in the end it was the best. It was quality time for Justin and I. So now the stitches are out. He is still non-weight bearing until Dec 22. So that will be a nice Christmas gift for him to have a little more movement, and then he'll be able to drive again. Poor guy is stuck at the house by himself all day. Rusty loves the company though. Thank the Lord the doctor's office had a roll-about scooter that we are borrowing. This keeps Justin's leg up and gets him around a lot easier than crutches. He is doing really good and his ankle is healing really nicely. Sorry no pictures of the scar. Maybe after it has healed. We'll keep you posted on how it is going and the progress of walking after our next appt.
