Okay, we have made it into November. One night Nathan was a bit fussy, so we tried something different. Justin was on the front porch on the phone so we decided to go hang out with him. This calmed Nathan down really fast being in a different place. Well, he of course was crawling and exploring at this point, so he did not want to just sit in my lap. So I had to let him down. Well normal crawling on the sidewalk was scratching his knees and feet. So he lifted up his back end like a frog and started walking with his butt in the air. It was so cute. And of course it worked. He didn't get "scratched" by the sidewalk anymore.
